The new word is up-cycling
It's like recycling but you make the things look better.
Recently I went through a bunch of my old tee shirts and decided to get rid of a few of them. Some of the ones I wanted to get rid of were not really in a condition to donate. So I decided instead of throwing them away I would make something relatively useful out of them.
So three old tee shirts and an old undershirt suddenly became. ..... Ta da.
A rug... that I can use for my Wet boots and shoes Like... THIS
The best part of all this is not all that I've done I've also discovered a great website called Pinterest... and Oh My Gosh it is the greatest place for great ideas for crafting and cleaning. My favorite thing it took all the hard water build up on the shower head. Now instead of having a shower that was barely working now works perfectly... and who knew that all it took was a bag, vinegar and about an hour... no scrubbing necessary.
